2017 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) Candidates to Write for Aptitude Test. Before now, most of the Universities in Nigeria don’t conduct entrance exam for direct entry (DE) applicants before they are offered admission. Only few universities like FUTMINNA do while many did not. But latest development shows that Direct Entry applicants should now be ready for exam in all circumstance for all schools.

It is our pleasure to inform you that, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has disclosed that Direct
Entry (DE) candidates as from 2017 are required to sit for a school-based aptitude test
and not UTME. According to the board publicity secretary Fabian Benjami in a phone interview with PUNCH.

He said,

“Direct Entry candidates will attempt an aptitude test which is school-based. They are not sitting for the UTME. The test is from the universities. The new book we introduced will be used by Direct Entry candidates for the aptitude tests that will be conducted by the universities.’’

This means as  direct entry applicants to Usman Danfodio University, University of Ilorin, University of Benin, University of Maiduguri, OAU and any other University in NIgeria, you would be subjected to an entrance exam before been offered admission.
